EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES On-going resumes are accepted for Casual/Relief Residential Support Worker Positions. Working directly with residents in a small rehabilitative residence for persons with brain injury. The Casual/Relief Residential Support Worker will guide, assist and teach the resident’s in independent life and living skills. You will play a unique role within a team of rehabilitative professionals by assisting with resident Individualized Program Plans. Qualifications: Post Secondary Education in Human Services/Social Sciences and/or equivalent training and experience in the human service field will be considered. Experience working with people with brain injury is considered a great asset. Provincial Core Competency Training is a requirement for this position as listed below:
Personal and professional attributes include, clear communication abilities both in writing and verbally. Demonstrating a positive role model for people involved, consistency in work performance including reliability and emotional stability. In addition to educational requirements and attributes, prospective employees need to be flexible, be prepared to accept shifts on short notice and be able to work 12-hour shifts rotating between days and nights, on weekends, and during holidays. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and to demonstrate strong organizational and judgmentment skills. A current criminal records check is a requirement to this position.
