Moving In New Directions Society (MINDS) is a non profit organization located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. (Registered Charity # 83659 0364 RR0001)
Our mission is to develop and provide a continuum of opportunities for individuals with brain injury in order to attain a personal level of achievement and excellence in life as contributing members of the community.
Our objectives are:
- To provide a motivational environment that fosters the individual’s capacity for self-determination and independence.
- To collaborate with the individual on the development of action plans with realistic goals and objectives.
- To support and work in co-operation with the individual in achieving his/her goals.
- To facilitate the co-ordination of a supportive circle of family and friends during the learning process.
- To facilitate the co-ordination of a network of community based supports and professionals that promote the fulfillment of the individual's goals.
- To provide quality, affordable services on a not for profit basis.
